Improvements to our installation

We have now added a brand new crane to our work truck: a fully working Iron Fist Crane which can move 300kg at 7.4 metres.  This crane has been fitted to allow us to be able to fit, remove, and replace tanks over fences and hedgerow, or where space is limited and hard to get to.

Buying an Oil Tank

There's a huge variety of tanks we can fit, manufactured by Deso, Atlas, Titan and Kingspan, including single skin and bunded.  Sometimes, due to OFTEC Building Regulations, it is necessary to have a bunded tank fitted, although these are generally more expensive, bunded tanks are more secure as it is a tank within a tank, providing a containment of fuel in case of any leaks or overfills.

If you need kerosene oil tank installation and bases anywhere across the South West we can help. We cover Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Herefordshire and Wiltshire.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHEN TO HAVE YOUR OLD TANK REPLACED

If you have an old steel oil tank that is showing signs of age, rusting or even starting to leak, or maybe an old plastic oil tank, it is always best to regularly keep a check on them.

WHAT KIND OF OIL TANKS DO YOU REPLACE

We specialise in domestic oil tank installations. More than 95% of our work comes from the domestic sector, but we've also worked for schools, hospitals, council buildings and garages nationwide

HOW TO CHECK FOR SIGNS OF AGEING

Make sure that there is no whitening, cracking or splits appearing as this could in time lead to it leaking, or when checking you may also find there is a bulging or deformation of the tank.

WHAT DETAILS DO YOU NEED TO QUOTE

Ideally we would like you to send a description of what you need the tank for or the tank you want, photos of your existing tank (if you have one) and the position of the new tank (if different).

HOW OFTEN DOES A TANK NEED TO BE REPLACED

The earliest you should need to replace your old oil tank is about 5 years after installation. Often it is quite a lot longer than this, much of it depends on the initial investment in the tank and how much it's used.

  HOW MUCH DOES INSTALLATION COST

This depends on the current situation, type of tank being removed and installed, whether the oil feed line needs replacing what legal requirements the task entails. A guide price for installation fees is anything from £250 to £2,000. You individual situation can be assessed for a FREE, no obligation quote.

HOW MUCH DOES A NEW OIL TANK COST

There is a huge variety of domestic oil tanks on the market ranging from around £400 to £2,500. If you let us know your requirements and budget we can help you find the most cost-effective tank for your needs.

HOW DO I GET RID OF AN OLD OIL TANK

We dispose of everything you no longer wish to keep. Sludge and waste water are collected from our depot. Steel tanks are taken to scrap metal recycling centres and plastic tanks to plastic recycling centres.
